According to official reports, Mary Musselman from Sebring, Florida, got probation after she was arrested for feeding wild bears in the end of 2013. The reports state that one of the bears had to be euthanized, but that didn’t stop Mary from feeding more of its kind, which resulted in her being arrested again this January. Unfortunately for the 81 year old Mary, she just couldn’t get the reason why she was being sentenced to probation, so she continued feeding wild animals in Sebring. Mary allegedly set several bird feeders in her backyard and left corn and bread. Officials from the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission were deeply troubled by the woman’s behavior.
Her lawyer states that she suffers from Alzheimer’s disease and dementia. However, the judge ruled out that Mary has to remain in custody until her mental illness can be confirmed.
