A bank in Saudi Arabia declared a man dead and closed his account. And when he tried to tell them he was still alive, they demanded proof!
Fahd Al Siwat, a Saudi man, wanted to withdraw some money from his bank account. However, he couldn’t do it, because it turned out his account was closed. The man called the bank and received the following explanation – the reason behind the closing was that the bank believed him to be dead! He tried to tell them the truth, but they demanded proof. Fahd did the only thing he could do – he filed a complaint. The man is still waiting for the bank’s confirmation.
According to the Arabic daily newspaper Sabq, the bank’s name can’t be revealed, but its location is based in Taif, a town in Western Saudi Arabia.
