Studying for exams can be a pain in the neck at least once during the academic year. But in order to succeed, Chinese students have decided to make the ordeal even more unpleasant and painful.
20 year old Chen Tang and her 21 year old roommate Huang Lu, from the Fujian Agriculture and Forestry University, have started an insane trend among other Chinese students struggling with studying. Tang and Lu were going through some history books while trying to figure a solution to their problem with staying awake during revision sessions. They found that one famous Chinese scholar used to tie his hair to the ceiling so that every time his head would tip forward with fatigue, his hair would be pulled and the pinching sensation would keep him awake. Tang and Lu updated his method with the use of a coat hanger and clothes dryer.
After the girls uploaded pictures of their creation on the Internet, the method instantly went viral. Chinese students are officially making their way through the exams with clothes pegs, dryers and scarfs.
