It may come as a shock, but Justin Bieber can apparently sell anything – from distasteful pop hits to nail polish.
How did the nail polish get into the picture? Apparently OPI, the multinational nail lacquer manufacturer, saw Bieber’s potential in making big sales back in 2010. Bieber became the face of their new line, entitled One Less Lonely Girl. Unsurprisingly, tons of screaming teenage fans ravaged more than 3,000 Walmart stores to buy out the Bieber nail polish. Fortunately for all those 14 year olds, OPI decided to expand the collection to 14 colors and to restock supermarket shelves with the glittering nail polish. The Canadian singer’s name was enough to make almost any teenage girl crave for the $9 vial of nail polish. By the start of 2011 the line was a total sell-out.
Apart from Bieber, OPI have also worked with Selena Gomez, Carrie Underwood, Katy Perry, Serena Williams and Mariah Carey.
