The actress, who has been working in the movie industry ever since she was a kid, gained worldwide prominence when she portrayed the role of Bella in the Twilight franchise back in 2008. Ever since then the star has portrayed various roles not only in huge Hollywood productions, but also in a number of small budget indie movies. During this year’s Sundance festival Stewart talked about her goals and where she wants her career to take her. The 25 year old Kristen shared that she was more than eager to take part in one of the superhero movies, which have been a total hit among audiences of all ages over the course of the past several years. Stewart wants to portray the role of the next big superhero, even though she still hasn’t set her eye on a particular project or a particular character. The actress claims that she’s driven not by a good script or a hefty salary, but rather the point, the setting and the dedication of the people working on a movie. In other words – it wouldn’t matter which superhero she’s going to play as long as she feels like the project is right for her.
And while she’s waiting to find that next big role, she also wants to give directing a go. Kristen has been acting since she was a 9 year old kid and she wants to spice things up by swapping places with the director’s chair for a change. The closest Stewart has come to a superhero movie is starring next to Jesse Eisenberg, who portrayed a government agent in American Ultra. In the meantime there are 4 other movies coming out with Kristen this year – Personal Shopper, Certain Women, Billy Lynn’s Long Halftime Walk, and an untitled project written and directed by Woody Allen.
