Sylvester Stallone, also known as Rocky Balboa, isn’t indestructible. The famous actor got beat up so brutally by a co-star that he had to be hospitalized and the hospital staff thought he had been hit by a car!
In the distant 1980s Stallone was directing the third sequel of the world-famous movie ‘Rocky’. Stallone, in the lead role, wanted to add more realism to the fighting scenes for ‘Rocky IV’, so he decided to trade actual punches with his co-star Dolph Lundgren who portrayed Rocky’s opponent, Drago. Lundgren landed several jabs in Stallone’s ribs during three takes while they were filming the fighting scene. Allegedly, Stallone started having burning sensations in his chest but he ignored them.
Later that same night he started having trouble breathing and had to be taken to the emergency room. Stallone remained in hospital for eight days, since Lundgren had punched him so hard that his heart had collided with his sternum which resulted in restricted blood flow through his whole body!
