Not everybody’s working hard to earn or buy their personal belongings. And especially not this cop.
Dallas Northington spent the past 8 years working as a Target employee in Leesburg, Virginia. Earlier in May 2014 he came across a customer that stole a tube of toothpaste after buying several items from the store. The store’s manager recognized the shoplifter in question as an ex-cop and didn’t feel brave enough to confront him. Two weeks after that the cop returned to the store and stole some other items. That’s when Mr. Northington had enough and reported him. As a result the righteous employee got fired. The official statement was that he didn’t fill out the proper paperwork and didn’t get any approval before calling the law enforcement. The unofficial statement is that the thief in question was actually a retired Sheriff’s deputy from another county.
The officials are still investigating the case, while Northington’s attorney says the fight for his rights won’t be over until he receives his justice.
