By the looks of it, the American rapper Shawn Corey Carter, known by his stage name Jay-Z, has joined the club of time-travelling celebrities alongside actors Nicolas Cage and John Travolta.
An old black and white photograph dating back from depression-era Harlem portrays a man who carries a strong resemblance to the famous musician. The man in the photograph, who’s dressed in an old fashioned way, doesn’t have much to distinguish him from the other men in the picture. However, his face is pictured clearly and his resemblance to the acclaimed rapper is extraordinary. The photograph became a huge hit on the Internet after it was uploaded to Reddit and people immediately started talking about a previously unknown talent of Jay-Z’s – time travelling.
Allegedly the photograph was taken by Sid Grossman and had been acquired from the Schomburg Center for Research in Black Culture at the New York Public Library. Since it dates around 40 years before Jay-Z’s birth, it’s more likely that the photographed man is just an ordinary guy from the past century who happens to look like a present-day rapper, rather than a doppelganger or the real Jay-Z.
A guy who enjoys practicing all kinds of sports and spending time out in the open. Competitive, energetic and a reliable friend, "X" motto is "when life gives you lemons, make yourself a lemonade".
