If you like drinking wine, you may think that you need a corkscrew to open a bottle. However, a man called Stephen Cronk has demonstrated that it is actually possible to open a wine bottle without using such a tool.
Cronk, who is a wine expert, claims you only need a wall, a shoe and some muscle power. He has uploaded a video onto YouTube that shows how to use these three things to uncork a wine bottle. In the video, Cronk puts the bottle in the shoe and hits a wall with it. As a result of this, the cork pops up and he pulls it out with ease.
Now, you probably wonder how this is possible and may think there is some trick behind it. In fact, the whole thing is explained by a process known as cavitation during which the cork is pushed up by the gas in the glass bottle. This simple trick will undoubtedly prove to be very popular with wine drinkers as they can now open their bottles even without the correct apparatus.
