We all need a good laugh once in a while. Times are tough, and there are a lot of serious things going on in the world. Fortunately, there are people out there who seem intent on making us laugh, and a lot of them do a really great job. They just seem to have an exceptional sense of humor; either that or they do not care if they look a bit foolish.
Here are twenty great examples of people who are trying to make us laugh.
1. The Weatherman
When you picture a guy giving you the weather, you tend to picture a guy wearing a suit and tie. Once in a while, they dress in business casual attire. This weatherman clearly has a fashion sense that is all his own. He must have worn this shirt in order to make his viewers laugh, and that is awesome. The weather, while a frequently discussed topic, is often a depressing one. Viewers might need a good laugh after the weather report.
2. The Guy With the Magic Trick Who Demands You Call Him Hot
This is clever, and I can’t believe I’ve never heard of this “trick” before now. I can’t believe more people haven’t done it, honestly. This guy is truly a master of social media and certainly deserves the attention he is getting. Being funny definitely makes a person more attractive, after all.
I wonder what his ratings would have been if he didn’t ask the question in such a truly amusing way.
3. The Roommate and Princess Diana
Asking your roommate to clean for you because you have a date coming by is, at best, a gutsy move. That roommate has every right to say “no” to you. However, that’s not at all funny.
It is funny, though, to build a shrine to a deceased princess in your roommate’s room. Not many people on a date would be thrilled to see such a thing; hopefully, the date had a great sense of humor.
Diana, Princess of Wales, needs no introduction. She was a member of the British Royal Family and the mother of Prince William and Prince Harry. Her marriage to Prince Charles ended in 1996; in August of 1997, she died due to a car crash in Paris.
During her life, she was well known for her work with victims of HIV/AIDS and cancer patients. She was also committed to working with organizations and charities that focused on mental and social issues. In addition, she was considered a fashion icon.
A couple of decades after her death, she is still considered one of the more popular members of the British Royal Family ever.
4. The Boyfriend Who Swapped the Faces
It is easy to understand why this woman could be angry at her boyfriend, but this is positively hilarious. Let’s hope she had a good sense of humor over the whole thing. Don’t women claim that they want a guy with a good sense of humor? I hope this didn’t lead to a breakup.
As she seems to be the one that posted the images, she probably found the whole matter as hilarious as we do. They’re not the most flattering images, but they are funny.
5. The Parent With the Bows
Children can be great, but they can also be ingrates. You pay for their stuff, but they still expect toys, video games, a subscription to Netflix, etc. A lot of them will complain that their parents never buy them anything.
This parent amusingly pointed out—using bows—that every single thing in the house is sort of a gift. That parent definitely got his or her point across.
6. The Person Who Called Out the Guy from Scooby-Doo
The guy in this image really does look like “Shaggy” Rogers from “Scooby-Doo”. The person who called him out deserves to be commended.
The first voice actor for “Shaggy” Rogers was the award-winning disc jockey and radio personality Casey Kasem, who is probably best known for being one of the founders of “American Top 40”. He was also a voice actor in many commercials and appeared in several films, including “2000 Years Later”. He last portrayed “Shaggy” in 2009.
It is unknown why the guy in the image was asking the question he did on social media. He is holding a phone and taking a picture of himself. That doesn’t really help us ascertain what he does for a living. Very few people under the age of 50 don’t take pictures of themselves regularly. Is there something special about the phone? I don’t get it.
7. The Person With the 3D foot
It would be truly impressive if this was actually a drawing; unfortunately, however, it is not. This is just a bunch of toes sticking through a piece of paper.
It might not be terribly impressive, but it is very funny. There probably are talented artists out there who could manage to draw a foot like that—one that appeared to “pop” off the page.
8. The Guy Who Left the “Click” DVDs
It is pretty funny to leave dozens of copies of one movie at your parents’ house; it is sort of sad that they didn’t notice, though. Do they not watch movies or TV shows? Do they just stream all of their entertainment now?
Regardless, the image is definitely an amusing one. What’s most amusing is that the man in the picture chose the film “Click”, which starred Adam Sandler. It was released over a decade ago. It did get nominated for an Oscar, though—albeit not for acting or directing. The nomination was for “Best Makeup”.
The film also starred Henry Winkler and David Hasselhoff. The film, while mildly successful commercially, was not critically acclaimed. It did win a “People’s Choice Award”, though, as well as a “Kids’ Choice Award”.
9. The Guy With the Shoe
The question here is whether or not the shoe was made as some sort of joke or a prank; if not, what sort of human being needs a shoe that large? How tall would one need to be? Also, the guy looks pretty happy to be holding the shoe—he is having a good time. Was it a custom order that he personally worked on?
Even if those questions forever go unanswered, it is a pretty funny image. It is possible, albeit unlikely, that the shoe belongs to him. We don’t see his feet in the image, after all.
10. The Dad and the Skeleton
I am not sure why this kid would hate his or her father for this. In general, dads are not known for having terrific senses of humor. If your dad is trying to make you laugh—and goes to extreme lengths to do so—he’s a great dad. You should absolutely be grateful.
Does the dad teach biology or something? Where did he get the skeleton?
11. The Girl and the Tree
Learning how to properly edit photos can lead to a pretty lucrative career. It can also lead to your enjoyment of photos in which you look good, but also contain people you never again want to see.
This isn’t the best editing job I have ever seen in my life, but it also isn’t the worst. I’m not sure that I could do better. The young woman does indeed look lovely, which is probably why she wanted to salvage the picture.
If I didn’t know it was edited, I would have assumed the young woman just liked to hug trees, which is perfectly acceptable.
12. The Guy At Disney
I’m not sure what is funnier—the hat or the sweatshirt.
Admittedly, I haven’t been to a “Disney” park in a couple of decades, but I did not think grown men wore “Mickey Mouse” ears at theme parks. What’s with the sweatshirt? What does this guy do when he’s not wandering around Disneyland holding hands with the lady in his life?
He has a good sense of humor about himself, obviously, but I’m not sure I’d want to meet him in person. Why might he die? If he does, why should he be avenged?
13. The Boyfriend and the Tennis Racket
One of the best parts of being in a relationship is that you almost always have someone around to prank. In this case, a boyfriend played an absolutely hilarious prank on his girlfriend.
She must have a sense of humor. She didn’t refer to him as her “soon-to-be-ex-boyfriend”, so that’s good. I bet she made him cook dinner for an entire week, though, and she deserves at least that.
Tennis, which is an Olympic sport, has been around in its current form since the late 19th century. Its origins, however, date back to the 12th century. The rules have not changed much since the current version of the sport first started being played. It is considered one of the more popular recreational sports in the world.
14. The Guy and the Leak
This one is only funny because the person talking to Dillon was clearly incompetent in the worst possible way. How could a person not know what to do in that situation?
When Dillon saw that scene, he must have been mad; he had absolutely every right to be.
15. The Kid and the After School Club Creation
You have to give the mom in this case a lot of credit. At least she is paying for her kid to go to clubs after school instead of just telling him to watch TV.
16. The Mom in the Pink
There is just way too much pink in that outfit. The woman also does sort of look like the mom of Regina George, who was a character from the movie “Mean Girls”.
The film, which came out in 2004, was written by Tina Fey. It starred Lindsay Lohan, Amanda Seyfried, Lizzy Caplan, and Rachel McAdams. It was well received by critics. Nowadays, the film has something of a cult following. It won several awards, including three at the MTV movie awards. It also won several “Teen Choice” awards.
Forever 21, of course, is a popular fashion retailer. The first store, which was called Fashion 21, opened in 1984 in Los Angeles, California. There are currently over 600 stores throughout the world, in countries such as South Africa, Canada, Chile, Ecuador, Bolivia, Japan, India, South Korea, Kuwait, Qatar, Poland, France, Spain, the United Kingdom, Russia, Slovakia, and Australia.
The chain, for understandable reasons, generates billions of dollars of revenue every year.
17. The Funeral For the Friend
Funerals are rarely funny. They tend to be pretty somber affairs, really. While death can be a blessing when a person has been suffering, death still isn’t a reason to laugh.
However, when a funeral is held for a friend because he entered into a relationship? That is hilarious. We’ve all known people that seem to lose their sense of self when they get romantically involved with another person.
For example, if you are a single person and you have a friend who gets married, you can count on the fact that your friendship will never be like it once was. The friendship won’t end—hopefully—but it will definitely be different. That is just one of those sad facts of life.
18. The Girl With the Mug
This girl was funny, but she probably wasn’t trying to be funny. Who wants to look up your girlfriend’s nostrils when you’re having your morning cup of coffee? Why would she think the inside should be pink?
It almost seems as if she was trying to play a joke on her boyfriend. She probably was, come to think of it. Could you imagine the boyfriend sipping coffee from that mug in front of his male friends? He would never hear the end of it.
19. The Neighbor and the Self-aware Printer
This image perfectly explains why you should properly secure all of your devices.
Also, a self-aware printer sounds like a great concept for a horror movie. Come on, Hollywood—make that film!
20. The Kid With the “Sticks and “Stones”
Kids hear things the way they want to hear things, I guess. This is disturbing for obvious reasons, but it is also pretty darn hilarious. If I were a parent to that child, though, I would be a bit concerned.
