Sometimes people tend to take extreme measures in order to impress others. And when the stakes involve impressing a date, the situation can easily get out of hand. That’s exactly what happened in Tyler Siegel’s case.

Siegel, a young man in his 20s, was desperate to impress his date during a park stroll in Jonesboro, Arkansas. The girl never imagined the horror she was about to experience, because Siegel had already made an arrangement with a friend of his. The friend was to “attack” the couple with a knife, allowing Siegel to fight the attacker, save the day and get the girl. However, things didn’t happen exactly as planned.

Siegel’s date ran off scared to death, while the “hero” received wrist and chest cuts during the struggle with the “attacker”. The girl was so scared that she decided to put the whole ordea behind her and never talk to Siegel again. Luckily for him, he at least escaped being charged for his role in the fiasco.
