Do you remember Shaggy from the Scooby-Doo cartoon series and his love for the doggy treat Scooby Snacks? Apparently a teacher at a primary school in Pennsylvania thought real-life kids would also love them.
According to official reports, an assistant at the Upper Frederick elementary school tried to feed a total of 75 young kids some doggy biscuits. The school, which is located in New Hanover, suspended the part-time teaching assistant after she tricked the kids with animal food. The unnamed woman gave the biscuits to kids aged between 10 and 11 and told them they were ordinary biscuits or salty crackers. It’s unclear why the assistant decided to play this kind of joke on the children and it’s unclear how many of the 75 kids actually ate from the doggy treats. However, some of them got suspicious and alerted their parents, who in return alerted the media and the school’s officials.
According to one parent, the situation could have gotten worse next time, if the kids were served something like rat poison. According to the school’s officials, there were no harmful ingredients in the biscuits.
