Gary Coleman is an American actor mostly known because of his small stature. As an adult he was 140 cm high or just 4’7″. In his childhood he took part into the ‘Diff’rent Strokes’ sitcom and was regarded as one of the most promising TV stars.
Unfortunately, Coleman’s life didn’t turn out very well. After the end of his successful acting career as a child, he had serious financial troubles. But poor finances weren’t the only problem of Coleman.
In 1998 Gary Coleman was working as a security guard and one day he was shopping for a bulletproof vest when Tracy Fields, a bus driver and a fan of the sitcom ‘Diff’rent Strokes’, approached Coleman and asked for an autograph. Coleman refused and this provoked a conflict between the two of them. According to the report Fields mocked his acting career and he replied by punching her in the face several times. Coleman was arrested and during the trial he claimed he acted to defend himself from Fields. He got a 1-year suspended jail sentence and had to pay $1,665 for Field’s medical treatment.
