A former White House groundskeeper sold one of Hillary Clinton’s old cars on eBay for more than $60,000.
Not that long ago Hillary Clinton used to live in the White House during Bill Clinton’s presidency from 1993 to 2001 and she used to be driven around in a 4 door Oldsmobile Cutlass Ciera model from 1986. When the Clintons left the White House residency the vehicle in question was sold to a man, named Mike Lawn. Lawn is a former groundskeeper and he bought Clinton’s old and useless sedan drive for $2,000. Ever since then he had been storing the vehicle in his garage in Gettysburg, Pennsylvania, without using it at all. When his daughter got her driver’s license she decided that she didn’t want to drive Hillary Clinton’s old car as her very first car, so Mike decided he should sell it. The guy put the vehicle up to auction on eBay and managed to sell it for a little over $60,000!
So, what did Hillary’s old car include? For starters, the ownership documents and the manual had Clinton’s name, address and personal information on them, as well as her signature. The car also had a retro looking “Clinton for Governor” campaign sticker on its back windshield. The Arkansas, US, license plates were also sold alongside the car on eBay, and a surprisingly low odometer quantity. According to the digits on the odometer, the car had been driven for only 33,000 miles before it was sold for $60,100!
A total of 145 bids were placed on Mr. Lawn’s eBay add and it was officially closed on the 22nd of this April. Mr. Lawn and his family are now residing in Gettysburg, Pennsylvania, US, but his old purchase from his days as a groundskeeper in Washington, D.C., definitely proved to be lucrative nowadays.
