Kim Kardashian, Kris Jenner and the game developer Glu are all getting sued for $10 million over Kim’s popular game app.
Back in June last year Kim released her game app, Kim Kardashian: Hollywood. It has since brought over $200 million to the socialite and the game’s developer, Glu. But now they are being sued by another game developer, Just Games, for $10 million.
According to Just Games Interactive Entertainment’s lawsuit, a few years ago Kris Jenner had a meeting with them. They went over a detailed discussion of a possible product, but never heard back from Jenner on her final decision. When Kim’s game came out last year, Just Games saw tons and tons of things in the game, which they had already pitched to Kris Jenner years ago. And now they are suing her, Kim and Glu for copyrights and are demanding $10 million in an action for copyright damages and stolen ideas. Or at least that’s what their lawsuit is claiming.
Kris, on the other hand, claims that there was no such meeting between her and the game developer. In fact, she claims that Glu were the ones that came up with the ideas and features in the game app and didn’t steal anything from anybody. In the same time, Kim is saying that her husband Kanye was the one, who convinced her to agree to collaborate with the developer on the project, which is bringing her millions and millions.
Kim Kardashian: Hollywood is a free game and anybody can download and play it. However, there are tons of hidden objects and goods, which require real life money. The users are trying to compete with each other for fame, social status, celebrity levels and attractive celeb dates while they are being guided through the socialite’s ladder by animated versions of the women from the Kardashian/ Jenner clan.
