In the days following Paul Walker’s tragic death the global outpouring of love and support towards his closest friends and relatives was truly overwhelming. The wall of fan tributes stacked up at the scene of the accident got so big that the city was forced to move all the memorabilia. Everyone touched by this story needed to make a kind gesture of remembrance somehow.
This is also how Paul’s Jiu-Jitsu instructor Ricardo “Franjinha” Miller felt. In order to honor his friend and one of his best students, he gave Paul a honorary black belt in Jiu-Jitsu in memoriam. According to the martial arts expert Paul was an ambitious and hard-working martial artist who had only one goal in his mind – earning a black belt.
They were practicing on a regular basis and according to Ricardo, Paul wanted to be famous not only for driving really fast cars but for his Jiu-Jitsu skills as well. Some of the Jiu-Jitsu techniques taught by Ricardo were utilized in a few “Fast & Furious” movies.
The last time the two men were together was when Ricardo trained Paul for his movie “Brick Mansions” that is about to be released in 2014.
