Christopher Reynolds, a PR executive from Pennsylvania, was possibly the luckiest man alive for a short period of time. A bug in PayPal’s system gave him $92,000,000,000,000,000 by mistake, making him the richest man on the planet. He could have changed his lifestyle completely, being more rich even than Bill Gates, he could have spent a fortune on material indulgences and would have had enough money left to live like a king for the rest of eternity. Of course, PayPal didn’t let him keep the money long enough. After they discovered the mistake, the error was fixed and Reynolds was worth $92 quadrillion less once again.
Nevertheless, PayPal’s spokesperson told the media that Reynolds was an understanding man and didn’t make a scene about it. Mr. Reynolds himself told the press that he thought someone had played a joke on him before the truth came out.
