When one of your parents is a famous musician worth hundreds of millions of dollars, you don’t have to worry about how you’ll pay taxes or whether you can indulge all sorts of silly whims. However, the 6 kids of the notorious Gordon Matthew Thomas Sumner, also known by his stage name Sting, won’t get his millions served on a silver plate.
Unlike Simon Cowell and other famous musicians, Sting won’t let his children inherit his millions. The 62 year old singer is said to be worth £180 million ($306 million). He grew up in a working class family and rose to fame after spending years playing in pubs for less than $20 per gig. Nowadays Sting admits he won’t give his millions to his kids, who are between the age of 18 and 37, because he doesn’t want to burden them and make them forget that it takes time, hard work and patience in order to succeed in life.
