The final reunion of the original cast of F.R.I.E.N.D.S. is really happening, but there is a small catch – one of the original six friends won’t be there since Matthew Perry won’t reprise his role of Chandler Bing.
Ever since the popular TV series F.R.I.E.N.D.S. ended back in 2004 fans of the show have been praying for a reunion that will show Monica, Chandler, Ross, Phoebe, Rachel and Joey together again. And in the last few days the social media has been going crazy over the rumors that a reunion is really going to happen. As it turns out, the rumor isn’t just a rumor and the reunion is happening, although there is a catch to it. First of all, the reunion won’t be an actual additional episode to the show, which once sported 10 seasons. Courtney Cox, Jennifer Aniston, Lisa Kudrow, Matt LeBlanc and David Schwimmer will reunite in an NBC special feature that will be aired in February over the course of 2 hours. The feature will show famous actors from TV series like F.R.I.E.N.D.S., Will & Grace, and so on, who worked with the famous director James Burrows. The 2 hour long feature is actually a tribute to Burrows, and the original cast of F.R.I.E.N.D.S. will be reunited for it.
Unfortunately, we won’t see Matthew Perry next to the original six cast members. The 46 year old actor is currently working on a new project in London, UK, and his schedule won’t allow him to join Cox, Aniston, Kudrow, Schwimmer and LeBlanc. However, he will still be featured on NBC’s special, since he will be the one introducing the other five friends to the viewers.
So, the reunion won’t be the special episode fans of the show were rooting for, but they will still get the chance to see five of the original six next to each other once again.
