Respected Russian Teacher Accused Of Having Affair With 17-Year-Old Star Pupil

An esteemed Russian teacher is currently under investigation. Pictures that were leaked online suggest that she might have had an affair with one of her students, who is now 18 years old.

The teacher—a deputy head and biology teacher—is 41 years old. Her name is Irina Ibragimkhalimova.

The student, Valeria Fedorova, was 17 years old at the time of the alleged affair.

The leaked images seem to show intimacy between Irina and her teenaged student. Messages between the two have also been revealed.

Valeria claims that the intimate photographs were actually altered by Photoshop; however, an investigation has nonetheless been launched. Irina Ibragimkhalimova has not commented on the alleged affair or the investigation.

The case of the alleged affair has been handed over to the investigative committee; the committee examines serious crimes.

The alleged scandal occurred in Borovichi, which is roughly 275 miles northwest of Moscow.

According to a local news website, Valeria and Irina are suspected of having a sexual affair—and both of their social networks provide evidence that such an affair existed. Both the teacher—who has a son—and the student have deleted their social media profiles. The aforementioned website states that there are pictures of the two hugging and kissing. One picture, apparently posted by Irina, is particularly intimate, which is why people think they had sex.

Valeria has said that she’s spoken with Irina, who claims that she does not have the sort of underwear that appears in the pictures. Valeria said that it looks “very old”. She also said that she never saw her teacher wear the sort of shirt that appeared in a photograph. In addition, Valeria mentioned that her breast size is not that of the person in the photos.

“They made it up,” she said.

While Valeria denies the affair, she does admit to being friends with Irina. Both women actually admit to being friends, and head teacher Lyudmila Krupkina backs this up. The head teacher said that Irina has been a “good friend” to her student, and she claims that the images may be related to blackmail.

Police, however, are skeptical; they do not see any evidence of blackmail.

Alleged messages between Irina and Valeria have been leaked. One message—from the teacher to the student—read “I’m asking nothing from you…” In the messages, Irina stated that she “loved” Valeria and that words were useless because her heart was beating “like mad”.

Valeria, who was 17 at the time of the alleged affair, supposedly told her teacher that the main thing in life is to meet another person who understands you; she also supposedly said “I love you”.

According to Irina’s colleagues, she is highly respected. Valeria is supposed to be awarded a “gold medal” for her studies, which means that she will have a fast track into the top Russian universities.

The education ministry is simply stating that the investigative committee for the region is looking into the matter.
As noted above, Valeria was 17 years old at the time of the alleged affair with her student. The age of consent in Russia is 16, so it is difficult to know how Irina might be punished should the alleged affair between her and Valeria be confirmed. It seems likely she might lose her job—at least—but even that is unknown at this time. We will have to wait for the conclusion of the investigation.
