A man was arrested by the New York Police Department after he pointed his iPhone at a patrolling policeman in what was supposed to be a goofy stunt.
According to official reports, Unique Johnson was detained and charged after he performed an innocent, but offensive, stunt in front of his colleagues. The reports state that the 32 year old Johnson was driving with some of his colleagues from the energy sales company he works at, when he decided to pull over the Chevy Trailblazer he was driving near a patrolling police car on the evening of the 15th of January. The man got out of the vehicle and went up to the police car, pointed his iPhone at the nearest officer and imitated a couple of gunshots. The iPhone was reportedly held in a dark blue case. The shocked policemen, especially the one who was closer to Johnson, thought he was going to shoot them with a gun.
Shortly after the stunt the man was arrested. He explained he had pointed a smartphone and not a gun and that he wanted to point out how easy it would be to kill a patrolling police officer. Johnson was charged with harassment, driving without a license, disorderly conduct and menacing a policeman.
