Back in 2003 Alan Rickman pranked Daniel Radcliffe so bad that he got nearly 200 people embarrassed for nothing!

Almost 13 years ago when Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban was being filmed Alan Rickman decided to prank the lead actor, then 13 year old Daniel Radcliffe, in front of the entire crew and cast of Harry Potter, including tons and tons of extras.

The crew was filming one of the many dramatic scenes of Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban, in which the entire House of Gryffindor is sleeping in the Great Hall right after Sirius Black sneaks into the Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. The scene featured nearly 200 actors and extras lying around in sleeping bags as Professor Dumbledore and Professor Snape are seen walking amongst them. During the filming of that scene Alan decided to prank Daniel, because the then 13 year old Radcliffe had requested to be laid down next to some girl he used to have a crush on. So, Rickman put a farting bag inside Daniel’s sleeping bag and as the scene was being filmed, the started pushing it on with the remote control he was hiding in his hand. At first it was just Daniel that was the one, who got embarrassed, but then actors from all over the room started twisting and turning and claiming they weren’t the ones farting.

Rickman’s prank got Daniel so bad that even years after the said event Radcliffe still remembered it. In 2014 he did a Q/A session with fans on Reddit and he stated that he’s positive this has been the best prank Rickman has ever done on set not only by Rickman, but by the entire cast and crew of the Harry Potter movies!
