When you say ‘crazy in love’ you surely put a positive meaning behind the expression. You are about to read fourteen stories that are literally crazy, weird, unbelievable or all three at one time and yes, love is actually involved in them, or at least it supposedly was at some point.
As it turns out, sometimes you have no idea who are you sharing your life with. Imagine that the love of your life hires someone to kill you, or that your husband is actually your own brother that you did not know existed? Check out the list below and you may find that the life of a couple can take strange turns sometimes.
1. Husband decapitates wife’s lover
Sgt. Stephen Schap was convicted after he murdered Spec. Gregory Glover in 1994 during his military tour in Germany. Glover was the lover of Schap’s wife. After killing him, the betrayed husband decapitated his victim and delivered the head in person to his wife Diane Schap, who was pregnant and on a hospital bed. The child she was carrying was from Glover. Diane Schap testified and said that when her husband walked in, he put the head on the table beside the bed and told her that her lover could now sleep with her every night. After he was found guilty by the military court, Schap received a life sentence. Reportedly Schap and Glover were best friends.

2. Woman accidentally finds out that her husband is actually her brother
A Brazilian wife named Adriana decided to find her mother, who had left her when she was very little. The 39-year-old woman contacted a TV show and with their assistance, her mother, Maria, was found. They reunited and Maria revealed that she also left a baby boy when she abandoned Adriana. Her name was Leandro and shockingly he turned out to be Adriana’s husband. The married couple decided to stay together because they loved each other and they also had a daughter who was six years old at the time. Imagine what kind of surprise that must have been.

3. Ex-wife tries to trick her husband but gets tricked instead
Angela Voelkert decided to trick her ex-husband David and in 2011 she set up a Facebook account, pretending to be a teenager, and she started to chat with David, hoping to incriminate him and win the child custody rights the two of them were fighting about. David admitted that he put a tracking device on his ex-wife’s vehicle and that he even hired a killer to eliminate her. Angela immediately used the messages and she filed documents for a restraining order against him, and he was arrested. But four days later things took an unexpected turn, when it turned out that David knew all along that it was his wife he was chatting to and he could prove it to the FBI. He provided a notary-sealed affidavit that said that he willingly lied to the fake person in order to gain proof of his wife’s intentions to deceive him. The notary-signed document was prepared upon receiving the friend request from the fake Facebook account. David used all the evidence from this situation to win the child custody rights and all other charges against him were dropped.

4. Mother was accused of her son’s death; turns out he had a rare health condition
Patti and David Stallings had their first child Ryan in 1989.The boy suffered from different health problems while growing up. After a chemical ingredient used to produce antifreeze was found in the boy’s blood, he was immediately taken away by child services, and police officers started questioning the parents. They had only an hour a week to see him and after another supervised visit by his Mum and Dad, Ryan got worse and was quickly taken to the hospital in critical condition, where he soon died. Patti was accused of her son’s death and got a life sentence. While in prison, she had her second child, which was named D.J. Sadly, the boy had the same health condition as Ryan. Upon further investigation the medics found out that both children were born with an extremely rare metabolic disorder and that the mother did not harm them in any way. The murder charges against Patti were dropped after the prosecutor asked for their dismissal. She was free after spending fourteen months behind bars.
The condition her sons were born with is called methylmalonic academia (MMA), which is a genetic disorder that causes the body to be unable to break down proteins normally. The original lab reports based on Ryan’s examination turned out to be incorrect and the results of it were based on wrong data. Patti and her husband filed a lawsuit against the hospital and everyone related to the case and gained the custody over their second son.

5. Husband and wife cheat to win a million pounds
Charles Ingram managed to win Who Wants To Be A Millionaire? in 2001, but he cheated his way to the prize. With his wife Diana and Tecwen Whittock, who was one of the other contestants, they devised a plan that actually succeeded. The idea was that Ingram would say the four possible answers to every question and Whittock would cough, signaling to his counterpart who the right answer was.
All three of the frauds went to trial and their prison sentences were suspended. The Ingrams paid a total of 115,000 pounds in legal expenses and fines.

6. Married couple cheat online not knowing they were chatting to one another
A married couple from Bosnia found themselves in a peculiar situation. Sana and Adnan Klaric both decided to seek another partner online, but they did not realize they were chatting to each other. They shared their marriage problems and after seeing how much in common they had, the cheaters decided to meet in person. Imagine their surprise when the couple found out they were talking to each other the whole time. They immediately filed documents for divorce, accusing one another of unfaithful ways. Sana admits that she found herself in love with a person she had never seen before, because she spoke to someone who had the same situation as her – in an unhappy marriage. She thought it was truly amazing to find such a person online.
Adrian commented that he still could not believe that his wife Sana was actually the woman he spoke to all along (using the nickname Sweetie), because she wrote so many nice things, and the woman he lived with hasn’t said a nice thing for years.

7. Dr. Seuss’ wife committed suicide when she learned about his affair
You have probably heard of Dr. Seuss, whose full name is Theodor Seuss Geisel, but you probably do not know that his wife, Helen Palmer, who was a cancer treatment patient, committed suicide upon finding out about her husband’s affair with Audrey Stone Dimond. Dr. Seuss and Dimond got married on 21st of June 1968, less than a year after Palmer killed herself.

8. Emperor Niro killed his pregnant wife and created a substitute for her
Emperor Niro’s pregnant wife Poppaea Sabina died after he kicked her in 65 AD. He regretted what he did and stared to mourn, but what he did next was rather disturbing. He found a slave boy that looked exactly like her and ordered him to be castrated and stand in as a substitute for his wife.

9. Husband hires hit man to kill his wife; she kills the hit man instead
Susan Walters came home from work one night as usual in 2006. What she did not expect was a man who attacked her with a claw hammer. He hit her a few times, but Susan turned out to be stronger than the assassin, and she killed him by chocking him to death. As it turned out later, he was hired by her husband Michael Kuhnhausen.
After the incident Susan said that she does not know if she can ever get over taking someone’s life, but she does not regret it considering the circumstances. She feels no shame, but she is not proud either.
Her husband received a 10-year sentence, but died in 2014 while still in prison.

10. Twin couples fool everyone into thinking there was only one couple
One Chinese couple continuously amazed the locals by running their restaurant every day from 6:00 a.m. to 3:00 a.m. everyone wondered how it was possible to work for 21 hours day after day without taking a day off. The couple was even nicknamed “the robot couple” due to the insane amount of work they did day after day. At one point the truth came out – it turned out that there was a second identical couple. The explanation was simple – two twin brothers got married to twin sisters. The two couples decided to join forces and open a restaurant.

11. Man gets restraining order on his partner, she savagely kills him
John Price was forced to apply for a restraining order on his partner Katherine Knight in February 2000. When she learned about this, Knight assaulted and brutally stabbed him 37 times. After that she skinned his body, cooked his head and some of the other body parts along with vegetables, and prepared a table on which she served the cooked parts of him next to cards with his children’s names on them.

12. Husband hires killers to eliminate his wife, they turn him in instead
Noela Rukundo, an Australian resident, had to travel to her native country Burundi for a funeral alongside her husband Balenga Kalala. What she did not know was that Kalala wanted to use this opportunity to get rid of his wife, so he hired people to do the job. They managed to kidnap Noela, but had no intention to kill her; as it turned out they do not kill women or children. Even more shockingly, they provided her with all the evidence she could use to incriminate him, including telephone conversations and receipts from Western Union. Meanwhile Kalala told everyone back in Australia about the tragic death of his wife, and soon she returned home to have her husband taken into custody.
The people hired to kill Noela kept asking about her marriage and soon they told her that he planned the murder for more than two months, because that was when he paid them. They wondered how was it possible that she would not sense that was going on for two months. Kalala admitted that he wanted her death because he thought that she was cheating on him. He received a nine-year sentence.
