Clifford Hall is an exemplary father. He was doing his best for his 11-year-old boy who lives with Clifford’s ex wife. The man was paying his child support and was visiting regularly. Clifford was convinced that the most important thing in his life was his responsibility to take care of his child.
However, according to Lisa Millard, a judge in Harris County, Texas Clifford was doing something wrong as she sentenced him to 6 months in jail. The agreement between Clifford and his ex wife was modified without his knowledge and as a result the man ended up over-visiting his son and paying more than he should for child support. In addition to the prison sentence Clifford would also have to pay the fees of his ex wife’s attorney. The father insists that he did nothing wrong but yet he is being punished. Clifford also points out that his sentence is not in his son’s best interest as he won’t be able to pay child support or be there for his son from jail. The father is currently appealing for the court to change his sentence and hoping that justice will prevail this time.
