This 65-Year-Old Woman Gave Birth To Quadruplets

Familiar with the phrase “Practice makes perfect”?

Well so is Annegret Raunigk, a German lady, who loves having children. So much so, that she has 17 of them. Last four she gave birth to at the same time. That’s right, people – quadruplets in the house!
Oh, yeah, one more thing – Annegret is 65.

Yes, Annegret loves being a mom. Don’t get me wrong, she’s down with being a grandma too, but having children of her own is what’s keeping this extraordinary woman young, or so she says. Still – some things come down to biology and math, which means that because of the number of summers she’s seen, Ann had no chance of conceiving those quads naturally (she’s past her menopause). Of course – if the human kind didn’t bend the natural law here and there, we wouldn’t be the dominating species that we are and so – Ann turned her hopes to fertility clinics and the magic they deal in.

She had to travel all the way to Ukraine, because IVF is illegal in Germany (she lives there). The complicated process required a lot of steps and resulted in 4 beautiful babies.
